PHY′XIUS is the god who protects fugitives, and occurs as a surname of Zeus in Thessaly, when it comes to greek mythology. The Xius Indians were in fact the ancestors of the Mayans along with the Sioux. So the widower Xius can be portrayed as a protector of fugitives, because if he hadn’t sold his house, then Angela Vicaro and Bayardo San Roman wouldn’t have sex, and her being “deflowered” would still be a secret.
